I'm not sure whether this book was better than the other one but at least Samantha was a little less whiny. There was action in it as well but there were too many plot twists or surprises that it seemed overdone or exaggerated. Wicked Kiss really was only an 'ok' read, at the minute I'm not sure I would pick up any more books to come in the seriesThe writing was ok, the characters were ok, the world building was ok, but nothing stood out and at times Wicked Kiss felt like a chore to read.Not the best, but not the worst.

    27. Second books in a series can often be a little awkward and Wicked Kiss was no exception. That is not to say I didn’t enjoy it, I did, but it was not as good as Dark Kiss, the first book in the Nightwatchers series. One of the biggest improvements was Sam. It picks up where Dark Kiss ends; Sam is still a gray trying to find the one that has her soul.
