    1. I'm a lesfic romance thriller buff (preferably with a little more romance than thriller) and this book was right up my alley (albeit heavier on the thriller part). This was an interesting read with enough twists and turns to keep it from being 'Just-another-suspense-novel'. It also had just enough romance to keep me happy. It starts of with an interesting turn of events for the protagonist as she finds herself being able to read minds. What starts as a fun 'power' soon turns into a nightmare as [...]

    2. I'll eat my hat if Anna Samuels didn't write this book.Alex Hope meets Detective Jess Love under less than optimal circumstances. Alex came away from a car accident, that put her in a coma, with an amazing gift. She hears the thoughts of other people. She also has precognition. Overwhelmed and feeling crazy, she leaves her parent's home for some time alone in an isolated Scottish cabin. Despite her best efforts, she stumbles across a brutal crime scene. She knows that two women have been kidnapp [...]

    3. I liked the concept of this book but it didn't turn out as well as I hoped. The chemistry between the two MC's was lacking and it was a bit of instalove. Some gruesome things happen to the women that are kidnapped and I wouldn't even think of reading this if you have some triggers. It's not a terrible book by any means but it wasn't for me.

    4. WowOk I have never read anything from this author. I thought this was a great mystery. The characters were believable. Need some editing. But I would like to see me moreke maybe a series. I would definitely recommend this book.

    5. Good storyThis was a good detective story as well as a nice romance. I liked the twist at the end and the HEA.

    6. Hmmm so much promise but it wasn't delivered on. This is one of those "imagine if" concepts that has so many possibilities for entertainment, intrigue, humour and mystery. Alex wakes from a 24 hour coma and discovers she can hear peoples' thoughts. The problem is that it gets really loud and really disruptive so she takes leave from her police researcher job and goes to a remote cabin in Scotland for some peace and quiet. While there, she hears a woman calling for help.Sounds like a brilliant pr [...]

    7. Nice story, needs editingThis book holds the potential to be really good. The storyline is pretty cool and moves along quickly enough to have me saying "Just one more chapter" when I should really be putting it down so that I can sleep or work. Although the core of the story has some gruesome and disturbing bits, the ending is very sweet. All in all the story was enjoyable. However angers me that once again a good story has been published without proper editing. I'm not talking about a typo here [...]

    8. Moderately amazingI really love the story and I love how things turned out, but the way the writhing was done was a pain. I couldn't tell who was speaking at times and had to look for any context clues I could to indicated who the words were from. At times the women would call each other the wrong name. Like Alex would be referring to Jess, but say her own name instead. It was super confusing. Apart from that, I really enjoyed the story. I would recommend reading it if you can put up with how it [...]

    9. ExcellentThis excellent story will keep you on the edge of your seat. Is intriguing, nail biting, you won't be able to put it down. The Action thriller and romance will keep you guessing. Spicy, unexpected and very real, is like a fast train turning around, an incredible ride upside down. The first book I read from this author and I want more of this. Jess and Alex are captivating, and the story is like an earthquake to your soul. One of the best books I've read so faris is a must read that I de [...]

    10. It would have been slightly more enjoyable if not for the rampant editing errors. That being said the relationship development was very quickly paced and the plot, while slightly predictable, was enjoyable enough for it to still be a three star book despite the aforementioned editing errors in my opinion.

    11. This has been in my queue for awhile. Glad I finally got to it. The plot moved really well. The characters, although not the strongest I have read, were well developed and flowed along with the plot. The setting of snowy Scotland was almost like a charcter in itself. Especially with Alex's ability it was almost like another antagonist.

    12. Very Entertaining Great read. Just enough sci-fi to keep you interested. Both lead characters are likeable and you hope for the best. I will definitely be reading more books with Alex in them.

    13. Marvelous I truly enjoyed this novel. The combination of a mystery and love story was exceptional. It was wonderful that it was in Scotland. I spent some time the in Holy Loch while on submarines. I use bicycle around the country side. What a wonderful place.

    14. Loved it!Loved the storyline and suspense. Nice twist at the end. Hope we see more of Alex and jess in the future. There were some typos but that seems to be prevalent in today's published works.

    15. Editor neededI almost took it down a star for all the errors. I loved the story and pray for a sequel. I really want to see how Hope works her new job. I want to see how Jess develop her house and works with Hope full time

    16. Enjoyable read!Once I started I couldn’t put it down. Hope there’s more books with these characters. I want more! Definitely recommend

    17. Good readShould be a series. Don't like the way they decided to be together so fast. Still a decent read. Took off a star because it needs editing.
